……getting stuff done. I'm using my time in isolation at the moment to get some new styles of paintings done and try to improve on my techniques. It's a great opportunity to do this right now, there is some much in the way of resources and “how to's” etc out there on YouTube etc……get into it and level up a little.
Teaching …….some one on one from one point five.
So…..I had the pleasure of doing a few art lessons during this time, one on one from a safe social distance of 1.5m and this young student ( 12yrs ) managed to create this beautiful landscape piece. It is her first ever attempt at this type of painting and I was very impressed with her focus and ability to try something different. She was so proud and surprised by her own work it was lovely to watch.
The piece is painted in acrylics on canvas. Approx 22in sq.
….Playing with some paint in the studio…self isolating…
Keeping busy in the studio playing with some ideas and concepts……..it's a great time for me to immerse myself into the process and creativity and just see what emerges on the other side.
COVID-19
Wow, crazy times. Shit's getting real out there. I still don’t understand the rush panic buying of the toilet paper etc but eh, each to their own. Admittedly, I went out and stocked up on rice, water, tuna, frozen and canned goods……..and obviously a heap of wine, beer and spirits …….just in case.
Jokes aside……..wash your hands and try to practice hygienic procedures when at home and especially if you venture out into the public at this time……you might be healthy and rate this flu as super mild, but the next person that contracts it might not be so lucky, so think of them.
Cheers, Paul.
First Blog Post............
Okay, first blog post ever………I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody that has supported me and my journey as an artist so far. Obviously it would not be possible to have a career as a full time Artist without having the talent to create but more importantly, to have the clients, the customers, the audience for my artwork and the support of many to make it come true. I am always very appreciative of what I am able to do and value the people who help to make it happen. The Blog section on this website might not always be art related exactly, I just want to be able to share my thoughts, ideas or create a discussion on whatever is going on in my head that particular week……..we'll see how it goes Lol.
Cheers, Paul.
