So…….I hadn’t painted with oils for a while and wanted to have a little practice so I decided to paint a little self-portrait. I grabbed a couple of wooden board canvasses from my local art supply and had a go straight onto the wood. Usually I would gesso before but I liked the wood grain showing through.

I love the passion and enthusiasm this young soul has for the planet. Some people may not share her views but you cannot deny the fact that she is getting her concerns out there and bringing a spotlight to the issue of climate change.

At the very least, and despite the varying views on the subject, when it comes down to it she wants a healthier planet which is in everyone's best interest surely……….you cant deny that.
